Transmission Service
Aisin and Geartronic automatic transmission fluid services, mechatronic repairs and software adaptation resets.
The 'sealed for life' label on Volvo automatic gearboxes assumes a European climate. In Gulf temperatures, transmission fluid ages faster, and by 80,000 km many gearboxes shift noticeably better after a proper fluid exchange with genuine fluid and a filter where fitted. We also repair valve bodies and mechatronic units, and perform the software adaptation resets that make a serviced gearbox actually feel serviced.
What's included
- Fluid exchange with genuine Volvo/Aisin fluid
- Sump, filter and gasket replacement where applicable
- Valve body and mechatronic diagnosis
- Adaptation reset and road-test verification
Common questions
Volvo says my gearbox is sealed for life. Does it really need a service?
'Life' in the manual assumes moderate climates. Sustained 45-degree summers age the fluid faster. We recommend a fluid exchange around every 60,000 to 80,000 km here, and gearboxes that get it consistently outlast ones that do not.
