Bring Your Own Parts — We Fit Them Properly
Found a good deal on parts yourself? Bring them. Unlike dealers and most garages, we are happy to fit customer-supplied parts at straightforward labour-only rates. It is one half of our two-method system, and for many jobs it is the most economical way to keep a Volvo in top condition.
How it works
Message us what you have bought and for which car. We confirm the part numbers actually match your VIN before you drive over, then book you in. Your parts are fitted with the same Volvo-specific tooling, torque specs and diagnostic procedures as parts we supply ourselves.
What we will tell you honestly
Labour is warranted; the part itself stays on your supplier's warranty. And if a part you bought is wrong or poor quality, we say so before fitting, not after. Roughly one in five customer-supplied parts we see is incorrect for the VIN, which is exactly why we check first.
Or let us source it, your call
The other half of the system: we source genuine, OEM or used parts through our network and warranty parts and labour together. Many customers compare our sourced price against their own find and pick per job. Both doors stay open.
Questions we hear often
Do you charge more for fitting customer-supplied parts?
No. Labour is priced by the job, the same whether the part comes from you or from us.
What if my part turns out to be faulty?
Labour to fit it is on us the first time; the part claim goes to your supplier. If we sourced the part, both part and labour are covered by us, which is the trade-off to weigh when choosing between the two methods.
